Humbled to attend the longest-running biotechnology congress, the European Congress on Biotechnology'24, organized by the European Federation of Biotechnology in association with IUPAC and NBV. I am immensely blessed to travel to Rotterdam, Netherlands, to present a flash talk and poster at #ECB'24. Those four days were filled with extensive scientific discussions, lectures, interactions, and rigorous knowledge exchange. Additionally, there was great continental and Asian food, mainly an evening dedicated to Korean delicacies. I have thoroughly enjoyed my first international exposure. I am also thrilled to be able to connect with many eminent and world-famous scientists, with a special mention to #Prof. Fengwu Bai, #Prof. Murray Moo-Young, #Prof. Luuk van der Wielen, and #Dr. Jan Wery. All of this was possible courtesy of my supervisor, #Prof. Ramkrishna Sen. Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. I am delighted to announce that I presented a Flash Poster at the European Congress on Biotechnology (ECB-IBS Congress 2024) held in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, from June 30, 2024, to July 03, 2024 #ECB2024. This event provided an excellent platform to showcase my research and offered valuable opportunities to interact with and discuss various research challenges with eminent experts in bioprocess engineering and related fields. I am deeply grateful to the European Federation of Biotechnology, with a special mention to Prof. Fengwu Bai, Prof. Jeff Cole, and Dr. Jan Wery, for giving me the opportunity to attend and present my work at ECB 2024. I extend my sincere thanks to TFI Lodestar for seamlessly and efficiently organizing the event. Last 30 June - 3 July the group of Sonja Billerbeck had the pleasure to attend the European Congress on Biotechnology #ECB2024 organized by the European Federation of Biotechnology in Rotterdam. Just 2 weeks ago, I had the pleasure of attending the #ECB2024 conference in the beautiful city of Rotterdam! A big thanks to the organizers at the European Federation of Biotechnology for putting together a great roster of speakers and presentations! At the conference, I got the opportunity to briefly present my research poster in a 2-minute oral presentation, which was a great experience and led to a lot of rewarding discussions. It was really exciting to meet so many like-minded people, and I really look forward to seeing where their science goes next! Lastly, I’m really grateful I got to share this experience with friends and colleagues Fredrik Lund and Tova Lindh. Recently, I presented my research on "implementing Raman spectroscopy to measure in-line biomass concentration in a yeast fermentation" at the European Congress on Biotechnology #ECB2024. I want to thank Nederlandse Biotechnologie Vereniging for giving me the opportunity to attend this congress. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with experts in the field and get valuable feedback. I want to express my sincere appreciation to the European Federation of Biotechnology for creating such a dynamic space for knowledge exchange and discovery. Last week I had the honor to attend #ECB2024 in Rotterdam. It was great to present a flash poster and share our research findings on the production of D-lactic acid by simultaneous saccharification and fermentation using a metabolically engineered Escherichia coli strain adapted to high temperatures. Last week I had the honor to attend the #ECB2024 in Rotterdam. It was great to share during my flash presentation how biotechnology is the key strategy for the production of secondary metabolites of great interest for the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry such as crocins, compounds mainly found in saffron that exhibit important antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It was an ideal platform for professional networking and scientific exchange and I can't be happier to have had the opportunity to be there. Congratulation to the European Federation of Biotechnology for the great job!
