Scope of the job:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Content to join our team. This role is crucial in driving the content strategy and execution across our websites, which adheres to our company mission, vision, and product strategy. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned leader with a strong background in iGaming, particularly in sports betting, and a proven track record of managing primarily Content, but also of SEO staff. As the Head of Content, you will mentor and lead a team of approximately 25 employees, including 5 direct reports, and will play a pivotal role in shaping, and executing our content strategy.


A taster of what you will be doing:

  • Leadership and Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of content creators, content quality assurance employees, SEO specialists, and team leaders. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Content Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with our business goals and enhances our brand presence in the sports betting affiliate market.
  • Team Management: Oversee the daily operations of the content and SEO teams, ensuring optimal performance and productivity. Provide regular feedback, conduct performance reviews, and set goals.
  • Data-Driven Approach: Utilize data and analytics to drive content decisions, optimize performance, and measure the effectiveness of content strategies. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • iGaming Expertise: Leverage your extensive experience in the iGaming industry, particularly in sports betting, to create engaging, accurate, and valuable content.
  • Recruitment: Lead the hiring process for content and SEO candidates, ensuring we attract and retain top talent in the industry.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, especially with the product department, to ensure cohesive and effective content strategies.
  • Innovation: Stay up to date with industry trends, and best practices to improve our content offerings, continually.
  • Budget: Taking care of the department`s budget
  • Empowering and Developing Team Members: Work actively on people`s growth and professional development.


Who are you and what you need to succeed:

  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in content management, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role. Experience in the iGaming industry, specifically in sports betting, is highly preferred.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and mentor a diverse team, fostering growth and development. Experience in hiring and managing content, and SEO professionals.
  • Content and SEO Expertise: Strong knowledge of content creation processes, and SEO best practices.
  • Data-driven: Ability to analyse data, derive insights, and make informed decisions to optimize content performance.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Educational Background: A degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate across departments/teams, especially with the Product team.
  • Organisational skills: Proven experience in a similar role that demonstrates exceptional organizational abilities.
