About this position:


We are looking for a Senior IT product manager, for talented and experienced engineers, who want to participate in our international expansion phase and be part of our highly skilled technical team, working in close contact with customers. This position will give you the opportunity to collaborate with global leading tech companies enabling the orchestration of their mission-critical services. You will work on a state-of-the-art edge and multi-cloud service orchestrator, which sits in the core of our product, following open-source and industry standards.


The line of work for this position will require quick learning, decision making, critical thinking and team work. We expect candidates to require minimal technical supervision designing and implementing solutions, and to take into account the needs of our customers, as well as the rest of the development team.


In this role, we expect you to:


  • Lead PLM of NearbyOne, through the coordination, LCM and launch of our product releases, ensuring alignment with Nearby Computing’s mission and strategic objectives. NearbyOne includes different tiers of product management, including its central controller, the connectors (Nearby Blocks) and different components that are part of the product matrix.
  • Collaborate intimately with engineering and design teams, defining product requirements, prioritizing feature developments, and guiding the integration of the latest technologies into our applications.
  • Execute in-depth market research and customer interaction to extract insights, translating these into actionable product features and enhancements.
  • Manage the product roadmap with precision, setting and tracking milestones and objectives, guiding the development journey, and measuring post-launch success.
  • Champion cross-functional teamwork, working alongside sales, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure a tight product-market fit and robust adoption strategies, including crafting supporting documentation and training materials.
  • Oversee the product lifecycle from concept to launch, applying agile methodologies to pivot quickly in response to market feedback and evolving requirements.
  • Stay ahead of technology trends and advancements, especially in sustainability and digitization, to continuously innovate and upgrade our product offerings.
  • Leverage product performance data and user feedback to drive continuous improvement, always aiming to exceed customer expectations.




Qualifications:


  • Proven track record as a Product Manager, with significant experience in launching successful complex software platforms. (+5 years)
  • Strong technical acumen, capable of effectively leveraging and integrating advanced technologies into product solutions.
  • Extensive experience working with Git and GitHub in particular, for project tracking and version control, respectively.
  • Familiarity with container orchestration and Kubernetes in particular.
  • Certified Product Manager (CPM) or similar professional certification, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and a deep understanding of product management best practices.
  • Proficient in agile development methodologies, with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-disciplinary teams towards achieving product milestones.
  • Experience with Go is desirable
  • Experience in DevOps automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform or Crossplane is desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Fluent in English, with exemplary writing and presentation skills.



Valuable skills - that if you don't have will probably develop with us:


  • Understanding of clean/hexagonal architectures.
  • Understanding the twelve-factor app methodology.
  • Familiarity with Distributed Systems challenges such as High Availability, Federation, Eventual Consistency or Leader Election.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline tools like Concourse and ArgoCD.
