I run the executable, select a gif, and it opens in a seperate window, then nothing happens. The ansi is never created. I'm running Win 10 x64 Pro. I have no idea what I could be doing wrong...

I thought I'd test this on a 32bit Windows 10 install, but it appears to be 64 bit only.

Hi @martykazmaier

I have not compiled for 32bit Windows - I can though, the binary is 64bit. I'll update that for the future and compile on both 32bit and 64bit.

How does this work?

First IMG2ANS GUI is not ready yet. So make sure you are running only from the binary releases.

If you are, what should happen is you choose which type of converter to run by the name of the binary, then pick an image. After which the console should show the ANSI text codes it created.

The ANSI file should then be output to a file named starting with the same as the source image .ans in the same directory as the file you chose to convert.

It's not intuitive right now, I know, which is why I'm working on a GUI version :)

Please be patient. Thanks!

@martykazmaier https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJiqoQ2E0M8 watch this video. It goes into great detail about how to use it. I don't know why I didn't share this with you before? I guess I forgot I made it.

:)
