ERMENEGILDO ZEGNA’S GREEN THOUGHT
The true spirit of Zegna is in the Biella Alps, in Piemonte, Northern Italy. In love with nature and deeply rooted in his homeland, our founder launched an unprecedented programme of environmental reclamation in the 1930s. He established a ‘green thought’ where relationships between man, mountain, culture and nature are preserved for the benefit of generations to come. Our founder dared to launch an extensive reforestation project by planting more than 500,000 conifer trees over the years.
WELCOME TO OASI ZEGNA
The Ermenegildo Zegna Group has continued to preserve our founder’s ‘green thought’ and reforestation project through the Oasi Zegna. Established in 1993, the freely accessible nature park covers around 100 km2 between Trivero and Valle Cervo in the Biella Alps. From an isolated mountain to a natural oasis, Oasi Zegna is capable of giving visitors an educational and unexpectedly moving experience.

Planting new trees is the heart of “Zegna Forest”, a project by Fondazione Zegna launched in 2020 to revitalize a part of our woodland that is suffering climate change. Entering its second year in 2021, the project is being extended to three new areas in the Stavello zone, to prepare for the planting of over 7,000 new trees. The objective we set, with the help of our scientific committee, is to gradually introduce new species better suited to the current climatic conditions.
