The upholstery is decorated with machine embroideries and stitching that create unique geometric patterns or stylized flowers each time. Sun, the #outdoor monocoque chaise longue designed by Francesco Rota, follows the itinerary of the Amerigo Vespucci sailing ship and arrives in Los Angeles. The ship serves as an #ambassador of #MadeinItaly worldwide and of the Villaggio Italia, a multi-year traveling exhibition showcasing all Italian excellences from #technology to #art, music to #culture, within an area organized into exhibition pavilions. The design exhibition “Italia Geniale,” curated by Francesco Zurlo and Carlo Martino, features #innovative and noteworthy products. Among these, they selected the Sun which was also selected for the #ADIDesignIndex 2021. Centopeia, the #indoor seating recognizable for its evocative shape resembling a centipede, is on display until September 8 at the Power Station of Art in Shanghai as part of the exhibition "Impermanence - 40 Years of Estúdio Campana," the first major #exhibition in Asia dedicated to the Brazilian designers, co-curated by Marco Sammicheli and Gong Yan.
