Purpose:

The HRBP Italy will provide business partnership to support initiatives in all Business Units at local level. He/she will ensure that all projects from BU’s HR Agendas and Corporate HR cycle are duly implemented and cascaded on local population. He/She will effectively support engagement improvement, culture change, talent development and acquisition, organizational needs, training and development.

Key Result Areas:


Responsible for:

Developing and managing HR programs, ensuring their alignment with business goals.

Managing all HR policies and programs including talent acquisition, employee relations, rewards, training & development and performance management, spreading their knowledge on managers and local population.

Building and sustaining a high performance engaged workforce.

Promoting the company values through ongoing initiatives.

Serving as a trusted advisor and business partner to organization leaders.

Driving company culture, leadership norms, and value systems that encourage employee motivation and retention as well as improving leadership and manager capability.

Supporting the needs of the business and the development of top talent by identifying opportunities for process improvements, staffing the appropriate talent, ensuring solid compensation planning to drive results.

Consulting with business line and/or EMEA HR leaders, providing analysis and recommendations in such areas as talent acquisition, organizational assessment, performance and career management, succession planning, organizational structure, work force planning and change management.

Assisting managers in assessing and identifying resources to meet employee and departmental training needs and encouragement of employees to continuously develop their skills in their field of work.

Facilitating the annual HR cycles (performance and salary reviews as well as the variable pay programs).

Liaising with BU’s at EMEA and Global level to ensure that Regional and Global employees locally hired are effectively supported.


Qualifications:


Position requires a minimum bachelor’s degree in human resources, Labor Relations, or Business Administration.

Additional certification in facilitation, coaching and/or training is beneficial.


Experience:

  • 5 plus years diverse human resources management experience with exposure to sales, product management and technical teams.
  • Experience with various HR Systems (Success factor as a plus)

Preferable experience within matrix organization with regional extension and multicultural design.

Experience in interpreting employment law, compensation, organizational planning, recruitment, organization development, employee relations, safety, employee engagement, and employee development.

  • Business acumen including understanding of financial statements and the relationship between Human Resources and operational expenses.
  • Command of English is necessary.

Skills & Behaviour:

  • Ability to partner with all levels of management (including executives) across all Business Units of Vesuvius.
  • This individual must possess the ability to quickly grasp business objectives and strategies and how human resources and talent management initiatives can support their achievement.
  • Must have excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, writing, organization and computer skills.
  • Must have strong business acumen to contribute to translating business needs into HR initiatives.

Ability to plan, coordinate, organize, set priorities, complete projects, prepare reports, and make recommendations by exercising independent judgement and innovative thinking.

Other Department Directors and Managers look to this position to resolve complex situations dealing with employee relations, salary administration and general advice and consultation in the incumbents’ area of expertise.
