Health & Accident Specialist

Within the Group Life & Health Insurance we are looking for a talented and proactive resource to join the team.

Protection, Health & Accident area is part of the Group Life & Health Insurance department of the GHO and is responsible to:

  • Steer the implementation of the Group Life and Health strategy, also in terms of product approvals, volumes, mix and profitability, ensuring that Group priorities are fully embedded in the BUs action plans
  • Support the definition and monitor the execution of key initiatives implemented by the BUs


Within the Protection, Health & Accident area, we are looking for a Health & Accident Specialist. The selected candidate will have the possibility to work on medical expenses and accident business lines, and contribute to steering, monitoring and supporting the local business units in order to achieve their objectives in line with the overall Group approach. He-she will combine project management, business and technical expertise with flexibility and interest in dealing with diverse countries, market features and regulations.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Support the Head of Protection, Health & Accident in steering/ contributing to Group strategic projects by overseeing these initiatives from development through successful execution
  • Support the Head of Protection, Health & Accident in identifying and following up on the key business priorities of function
  • Support the preparation of documents and reports on the KPIs evolution and the main priorities of the Protection, Health & Accident business lines
  • Execute the product approval process for Health & Accident products
  • Liaise with the Business Units to steer and control the development of the Health & Accident business at local level by analyzing performance indicators and related technical levers across product design, pricing, underwriting and claim areas
  • Scrutinize the key business and competitive trends at both global and local level, and the related opportunities and transformation needs across the value chain


Requirements

Our ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • 5 to 10 years of working experience in insurance companies or equivalent position in consulting firms, with specific expertise in Health & Accident
  • Degree in Economics, Engineering, Actuarial Science or equivalent
  • Good understanding of insurance business and technical background
  • Excellent project management skills, experience in planning and leading strategic initiatives
  • Excellent communication in written and verbal form
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Proven experience in organizing and directing multiple stakeholders
  • Strong business sense and ability to order priorities
  • Ability to work with sensitive information
  • Ability to work autonomously and independently
  • English fluent

Soft skills:

  • Teamwork attitude
  • Experience or interest to work across different markets and multicultural contexts
