SERVICES SUBCONTRACT BUYER

Reporting to the Department Group Leader, this role has the responsibility to procure Project Services related to the following categories:

• International, Local Transportation and custom;
• Logistics;
• Expediting;
• Inspection.

Main Responsibilities

• Within Projects, Source and procure logistics/shipping services in compliance with Available Budget, Project Schedule, Required Service Levels, Contracted Scope of Work & Quality requirements;
• procure and develop Master Agreements & Contracts for Expediting and Inspection Agencies;
• develop, manage and run tenders in autonomy;
• interface with all internal Stakeholders to secure on time availability of tenders documents;
• negotiate with Forwarders and Agencies best costs, service levels and contractual terms;
• prepare and develop commercial Bid Evaluations and propose awarding;
• prepare and issue Contracts with Forwarders/Agencies, consistent with project requirements and company rules;
• contract follow up (e.g. New Prices requests, Claims and Contract revisions, Rebates..);
• identify and validate new ways to generate savings opportunities;
• participate in data analysis for continuous improvement;
• develop and maintain positive relationships with Forwarders and Agencies;
• support the Estimating department, during the bid phase, and provide the cost estimate for the transportation services.

Required Skills:

• more than 3 years of Purchasing experience for category in scope;
• end-to end tender management;
• negotiation of Costs and Contracts Terms & Conditions;
• deep Data analysis and scenario simulation;
• experience in contract preparation;
• ability to interface and manage Internal Stakeholders;
• knowledge of reference market and relevant providers;
• time management skills required to manage multiple tasks/projects;
• action orientation and problem solving skills;
• strong written and verbal communication skills in the English language;
• team player with ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships;
• good computer skills, proficient with MS Office applications and SAP, Ariba;
• education: University Degree in Business & Economics or Engineering is a plus
