Chi siamo

The UN World Food Programme is a leader in humanitarian logistics. With decades of experience working in some of the world’s most severe emergencies, WFP is the world’s largest humanitarian agency and has earned a reputation of being able to reach destinations where others can’t. At the heart of this is WFP Supply Chain. Encompassing a broad range of functions that support WFP’s programmatic objectives, WFP Supply Chain is made up of over 4,000 dedicated staff worldwide who enable the organization to reach 100 million beneficiaries in over 80 countries. The function’s expertise spans from planning and optimization to procurement, storage and road transport, shipping, aviation and cash-based transfers. In addition to WFP’s own operations, WFP Supply Chain provides support to governments and the humanitarian community, leveraging its expertise and assets to enable others through the WFP-managed United Nations Humanitarian Response Depots and United Nations Humanitarian Air Service, and the WFP-led Logistics Cluster.
