To celebrate South Asian Heritage Month, we were delighted to host author and Linklaters' very own Iqbal Hussain, who was interviewed by Partner Raza Naeem. During the session, Iqbal shared stories and reflections about his debut novel, Northern Boy. The theme for the month is 'Free to Be Me', and Iqbal’s novel is an emotionally charged coming-of-age story that delves into themes of identity, belonging, family dynamics, and a Bollywood dream. 📢 A team led by Simon Few (partner) and Andrew Chaplin (counsel), together with Joshua Rioda (associate) has advised Goldman Sachs Bank Europe SE as a Global Coordinator and JLM and LHV Bank as a JLM on the offering of a €400m perpetual green hybrid bond by Eesti Energia, the Estonian government-owned energy company. The proceeds will be used to finance eligible green projects which, according to the company’s Green Finance Framework, encompass investments in the transmission network and installation of charging stations for electric vehicles connected to the Estonian grid.   This is the first ever hybrid bond issued in the Baltics and in CEE (excluding real estate) to be offered internationally and listed on the London Stock Exchange.

🏙️ Reformed and rebalanced: FCA publishes the final UK Listing Rules! 📈 Aiming to boost the UK’s position in the top tier of global listing venues, the Financial Conduct Authority has confirmed the rules of its new UK listing regime. The new single listing category for commercial companies will be open to a wider range of issuers, and remove some of the more onerous rules for premium listed companies. Our New York office was honored to host Anu Aiyengar, J.P. Morgan's Global Head of Advisory and M&A, for an enriching dialogue on leadership, career development, and DEI. The event, co-hosted by our Asian Affinity Network and Women’s Network, provided a platform for Anu to share invaluable insights into her journey to one of the most esteemed positions on Wall Street.
