Today, we've launched our 2024 Social Impact Report - an update on our progress against the commitments we made over the last three years and the commitments we made in our Social Impact Pledge. We always say ‘what gets measured gets done’. Here are just a few highlights: ⚡ Increasing average spend with SME/VCSE supply partners to 50%, exceeding the 40% target. ⚡ Reducing food service Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions by 21% by increasing sales of sustainable options. ⚡ Investing in the Starting Fresh programme to encourage even more businesses and Sodexo managers to employ 567 prison leavers within six weeks of release, and 701 within six months of leaving prison. Our Beyond Service campaign celebrates the veterans who enrich Sodexo with their experience. Meet Lindsey Partington, Head of Safety and Wellbeing at HMP Forest Bank. After nine years of service in the RAF, Lindsey sought a career with Sodexo and joined HMP Forest Bank in 2009. During her time in the RAF, Lindsey served as a Corporal on the Medical Admissions Unit at the Ministry of Defence hospital unit, and worked up to a senior nurse position while completing higher education courses in acute care, leadership, mentorship and chronic disease management, among others. Continuing to value teamwork and integrity, principles upheld from her RAF days, Lindsey successfully progressed in her career with Sodexo and was recently promoted as Head of Safety and Wellbeing at HMP Forest Bank with Sodexo Government. Congratulations to our staff who recently picked up their Vice Chief of the Defence Staff Commendations! These are awarded to service personnel, MOD staff and contractors who have provided exemplary service to the MOD. DIO and Sodexo’s Soft Facilities Management team in Cyprus was recognised for their role in Op POLAR BEAR, the evacuation of over 2,400 UK nationals from Sudan to MOD bases in Cyprus last year. They provided over 100,000 additional meals, and ensured the availability of products such as sanitary towels and shower gel. Due to the nature of the evacuation, much of this was at extremely short notice and required hard work and dedication from everyone involved. Graham Kerridge, an Operational Manager for the Ministry of Defence Guard Service, was recognised for the work done by him and his team at RAF Lakenheath. Well done to all!

As we celebrate the veterans of our business, meet Dale Hegarty, Senior Continuous Improvement Manager for Sodexo Government. After 32 years in the Royal Air Force, Dale transitioned seamlessly to a successful second career with Sodexo. During his time with the RAF, Dale was deployed on operations to Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Oman and The Falkland Islands, and reached the rank of Warrant Officer for the last nine years of his service. His time in the RAF taught him that hard work leads to achievement, and this has proven to be true with his career at Sodexo. Supported by training, Dale quickly progressed and earned three promotions since 2013. Sodexo’s Stop Hunger Foundation is supported by Sodexo employees, who have up to three paid days a year to volunteer and fundraise in their local communities. Over the last three years, 3,000 Sodexo colleagues have logged more than 12,200 volunteering hours, of which 5,243 were skills-based. We're thrilled to announce the renewal of our partnership with Northumbria University for another ten years, with an annual contract for FM services and residential living management. This includes a new food offer for Trinity Square student accommodation. Since 2014, Sodexo has enhanced the student living experience, now managing all four City residences for nearly 2,500 students. Despite changes in our eating habits and expectations when in hospital, mealtimes have remained largely unchanged since the NHS was formed. In this second service innovation video, our brand ambassador, Matt Dawson MBE RWC, introduces how Flexible Dining has transformed mealtimes. Through the use of our innovative Flexible Dining solution, we've seen patient meal consumption increase from 26% to 78%.
