How do you ensure a clear product vision on all platforms?

A platform is the underlying technology on which your product will be built and operated. From my experience, understanding a platform’s aspects is crucial for adding value to the product vision. For instance, building an e-commerce product without considering the user load or the capacity of the current platform could lead to issues. Another aspect from this example is the availability of data and its sharing capabilities among different apps. The product vision should take into account both the limitations and advantages that the platform provides.

Ensuring a clear product vision across all platforms is essential for delivering a cohesive and user-friendly experience. Firstly, effective communication is paramount. The product vision must be articulated clearly and concisely to the entire team, ensuring everyone understands the overarching goals and objectives. Secondly, a strong design system should be in place, incorporating consistent branding, user interface elements, and design principles across web, mobile, and other platforms. Regular design reviews and audits can help maintain this consistency. In summary, clear communication, consistent design, user-centric data analysis, and a well-defined roadmap are integral in ensuring a clear product vision across all platforms.

Antes de entender as plataformas, é necessário validar persona/problema e solução. A partir daí analisar a viabilidade técnica, o que passa por entender as plataformas para as quais o produto será desenvolvido. Se eu não sei o que farei, como saber como farei? É preciso ter claro o que será feito e se vale a pena ou não fazer, para definir questões técnicas. Muitos produtos tem apenas uma plataforma, ex. são app mobile, o que é determinado pelo tipo de persona e problema que o produto atende. Conhecer a fundo o técnico de um produto antes de validá-lo pode significar perder tempo com uma solução que não traz valor e não terá sucesso.

Uma visão de produto independente da plataforma permite que a solução seja desenvolvida em diferentes formatos e plataformas conforme demanda e necessidade do negócio. E também permite que os ajustes necessários sejam feitos de forma rápida. Definir a parte técnica do produto vem depois da validação do próprio produto, durante a qual algumas respostas técnicas já são descobertas, inclusive qual a melhor plataforma a ser utilizada, pelo menos na primeira versão do produto.
