The dominant approach can be due to multiple factors - In most cases they are extremely passionate and dedicated. They expect the same from everyone in the team - It could also be due to being under pressure of the "Savior" mindset i.e. - only I can handle sinking ship. - It may also be due to the difference in exp levels The approach I have found useful is to follow below mantras: A. Ground rules - create basic rules and communicate openly. Get buy in from all. B. Utilise the dominance positively - Dominance can be channelised for increased responsibilities and duties. C. Fairness and Equality - Be open to the team that they can communicate their feelings anytime with you as team manager and take appropriate action when necessary.
