This will keep the team motivated, informed and self managed.

In my view being “consistent” in the expectations from team is also very important. This avoids confusion in team members if you don’t change the goal post frequently!

The feedback shoul be given frequently, even in a short form. This will allow from one side to track the progres, and also allow for any corrective action or new measurement criteria to be met.

A few things I have found helpful are: 1. Create a team of SMEs who provide ongoing coaching to the team on the process steps 2. Spend time in explaining to the team on the client's expectations of speed, quality and business value add and independent thinking in the case of ambiguous scenarios. Over a period of time these situations become repetitive and clients expect us to solve independently. 3. Conduct 1:1 discussions on monthly basis so as to give near real time feedback 4. In BPO, the engagement starts with a cost reduction objective, but very soon moves to a focus on quality and then value add and business outcomes. And the second stage of quality is something where the Team leads can collaborate with the QA TLs to drive change.

Influence Vs Coercion They say that leadership falls under these two driving forces. In BPO, a multi generational workforce. Influence is more effective than any coercive force a company can apply. The Team Lead plays a Pivotal role in improving Performance. The TL is a role model for professionalism and integrity. By exemplifying ethical behavior, adherence to company policy and a strong work ethic. The rest of the team would follow suit.

All above are ok, but eventually will fail if there's no proper company's culture present. As a next it will need a solid processes management system and I don't think about a digital one 😉. Employees as customers have own voices and opinions, even when being heard, it will demand a flow in both, operational and strategic perspectives.
