2X Challenge

The G7 Summit is where the #2XChallenge began back in 2018, with a commitment to invest US$3 billion in women’s economic empowerment. At the close of the 2024 G7 Leaders’ Summit in Italy, the group affirmed its support for the third edition of the 2X Challenge, with a coalition of Development and Multilateral Finance Institutions and private sector investors committing to mobilise US$ 20 Billion in financing for women. This International Women's Day, we're mobilised and motivated by this year's theme 'invest in women, accelerate progress'.
