The American College of Bankruptcy, partnering with the Focus on Gender Committee, announced the launch of an academic study on gender equality in the restructuring industry. The study is being authored by Professor Joan C. Williams of Equality Action Center | UC Law San Francisco at the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings). The Focus on Gender Committee (co-chaired by Pamela Corrie, an independent director, and Deirdre O'Connor, managing director at Epiq), has underwritten the study with sponsorships from its members. The 25+ committee members will be spearheading the survey launch in their respective firms, in hopes of at least 90 percent participation. In addition to the sponsor firms, the committee has reached out to over 60 firms with mid to large size restructuring teams in law, investment banking, and financial advisory. “We are elated that the launch of the survey has arrived. We have received excellent feedback regarding participation and look forward to a robust response,” said O'Connor. Read more here: https://conta.cc/3zlT8ao
