Opportunistic, Resilient & Innovative Expeditionary Network Topology Solicitation posted! United States Department of Defense needs to ensure that connectivity across a heterogeneous swarm of attritable multi-domain autonomous platforms remains intact. Communications equipment shall be capable of reliable operations in a contested spectrum along with ability to operate at lower classification levels in conjunction with attrition resilience concurrent with the vehicles that they are on. DoD needs the ability to push one-way updated commands via a broadcast through the line-of-site and beyond line of siteradio frequency and data networks. Communications across the network must be secure, applying best industry practices of commercial grade transmission and communications security. DoD requires a network control channel and management tool to direct and/or redirect the UxV team in both real-time and non-real-time disconnected operations. Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) requests solutions by 7/19/2024. Details found here: https://lnkd.in/eXJexNCh #software #cybersecurity #autonomy

AUVSI recently hosted our first Hill Day since launching our 'AAM Prepared' initiative, and we were thrilled to welcome robust participation from our #AdvancedAirMobility members with us at the U.S. Capitol. Our ✓strategic, ✓specific, and ✓efficient approach is what sets AUVSI advocacy apart. See why Caryn Moore Lund (Ferrovial Airports ) called AUVSI advocacy, "a force multiplier at every level of government." ↓

👏 AUVSI’s ground domain Working Group recently formalized as an Advocacy Committee, approving bylaws and hosting its first leadership elections. Please join us in congratulating Chair Patrick A. (Forterra) and Vice Chair Jason Brown (Applied Intuition Defense). What’s next: Going forward, the Ground Advocacy Committee will set AUVSI’s legislative and regulatory priorities in the ground domain with two guiding objectives: 1) Ensure US superiority on the modern battlefield through the advancement of autonomous ground systems for defense applications. 2) Educate key lawmakers on the benefits of commercial ground applications across the #AutonomousVehicle, trucking, and ground #robotics sectors. I was honored to deliver the Keynote Speech at AUVSI — Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International XPONENTIAL discussing the pivotal role and mission of the DCO and the theory of disruption in modern warfare. The energy and focus in this space from our partners amaze me. Given the current world events, promoting public-private partnerships in disruptive technology is more critical than ever. #Speedmatters #USNavy #DCO (Click on photo for 11 min speech. Here's what Aaron Pierce, our newest Board Director, had to say about Pierce Aerospace's years of membership with AUVSI: 🗨 “We had one of our mentors tell us that AUVSI was the place to be to get anything done… I would second that, third that, fourth that for anyone else who’s ever considering or thinking about membership.” Check out his insights on the value of the AUVSI community and how networking opportunities in the uncrewed systems industry have made a difference for his business ↓
