The companies on this Top 25 list, ranked by 2023 revenue, saw on average a 25% increase in revenue from 2022 to 2023. The award was presented at their Past Presidents' & Award Night at the Harley-Davidson Museum on May 14, 2024. As our SAFETY FIRST - SAFETY ALWAYS motto suggests, BEAR's focus on our safety program is paramount, so we are always proud to be recognized by our industry peers. On July 16,1984, Nick, George and Jim Wienold incorporated their new carpentry firm under the name BEAR Construction Company. Since that historic day, BEAR has been providing client-focused General Contracting and Construction Management services that have enabled us to grow into one of the nation's premier construction firms. Cardio Kidz is a youth running program dedicated to supporting the physical, social and emotional growth of children from the ages of 2-14, all abilities, in a positive community-focused environment. Cardio Kidz provides a positive atmosphere where encouragement and healthy competition allow every child to thrive. There are 3 sessions/races that emphasize personal improvement and steer away from competitive pressures. Children are encouraged every step of the way with endless cheering and volunteer running buddies available for additional support. BEAR was honored to support the Arlington Heights Inaugural event on July 14th by providing finish line popsicles to over 75 race participants and their family members. Members of Professional Women in Construction Chicago Chapter recently had the opportunity to participate in Polished Pebbles Girls Mentoring Program Pink Hard Hat Symposium where students aged 7-17 from all over Chicagoland were able to connect directly with construction professionals in an immersive experience. Not only were several of our member companies represented in the vendor gallery but we were also part of an Industry Leadership Panel moderated by Kendall Williamson and featuring Tammy Kelly, Brittany Taylor, Jackie Gallo (Revolution Workshop), Kristen Bush, and Symone Holmes (Chicago Women in Trades) sharing their insights, stories, and advice. We are grateful for the work that Kelly Fair and the entire Polished Pebbles team are doing in alignment with our industry and appreciate their support of PWC's mission to support, advance, and connect women and promote diversity in AEC. Yesterday, we kicked off our Village Of Long Grove Village Hall Addition and Renovation project at a groundbreaking ceremony. Celebrating this event were the Village Board of Trustees and representatives from Wold Architects and Engineers and Gewalt Hamilton Associates, Inc. The project, which begins next week, will consist of a new addition as well as renovations to the existing building. #BEARcc #WoldArchitects #GHA

As you might expect a privately held company focused on creating software to help manage and improve energy use, production and storage, Resource Innovations (RI) opted to repurpose (recycle) as much existing material/layout while making thoughtful selections for new materials. BEAR’s full floor 9,300-SF renovation for the RI Chicago office highlights form, function and the natural environment throughout the open office layout and welcoming meeting and entertainment areas for hosting. It doesn’t look like much now as BEAR has just begun preparing the site, but by the end of the year, the Village of Bensenville will have a second sports dome and clubhouse facility servicing Energy Volleyball Club.
