With growing #EnergyDemands and an aging and shrinking workforce, utilities are forced to do more with less. ➕➖ BIM (or Building Information Modeling) allows designers to do just that by adding another dimension of information to existing design. We explore how #Substations can benefit from this technology below. 👇 #LinkedInArticle

If ever there was a time for the U.S. water and #Wastewater sector to embrace #Data, it’s now as challenges mount. 🗻 Yet a survey of nearly 630 respondents for our 2024 Water Report continues to show missed opportunity, with lagging adoption of #DigitalSolutions keeping utilities from the multiple benefits that can come from the vast amount of data generated but not leveraged. Teamwork makes the dream work! 💪 "As the #GlobalEnergy ecosystem continues to rapidly evolve with its wider embrace of alternative feedstocks, Black & Veatch remains committed to leveraging innovation that brings about greater #Sustainability, in this case by turning waste into a #LowerCarbon fuel.”-Brady Hays
We are excited to announce that GIDARA Energy has entered into a collaboration with Black & Veatch to convert biomass and non-recyclable waste into renewable syngas, a critical component for sustainable fuels and chemicals. This partnership leverages GIDARA Energy's patented High-Temperature Winkler (HTW®) technology and Black & Veatch's extensive engineering and construction expertise. Our combined efforts aim to advance the production of cleaner fuels, reduce global carbon emissions, and provide low-carbon-intensive solutions for asset development and operations. By repurposing waste into valuable molecules such as methanol, hydrogen, methane, and bio or circular chemicals, we are contributing to a more sustainable future. Dr. Norbert Kamp, CEO of GIDARA Energy, expressed his confidence in the collaboration, highlighting the potential to offer compelling techno-economic propositions to clients. Brady Hays from Black & Veatch emphasized their commitment to leveraging innovation for greater sustainability. Our entire organization's thoughts are with those impacted by Hurricane Beryl, especially our #Houston-area employee-owners. We are proud of the work Bird Electric Enterprises, LLC and its partners are doing to restore power to the region.
As a Texas company with nearly 25 years of #StormResponse experience, we understand the impact of Hurricane Beryl on our neighbors, colleagues, friends and family. We have worked tirelessly alongside providers like CenterPoint Energy since before Beryl's arrival, with more than 1,000 resources staged before the storm made landfall. We have added 1,000 more team members since, including specialty resources to support the recovery. Our more than 2,000 team members remain hard at work in the area as we continue to coordinate closely with CenterPoint to deploy our resources where they can be most effective in restoring services to those still impacted.
