A great time was had by all this weekend at the annual rib competition and community gathering hosted by the Cass Family and Crow Valley Panels, LLC, out in #CCUS country of Weld County, CO. Along with our friends at CapturePoint LLC we were able to spend time with landowners and community members, discussing what carbon capture, utilization and sequestration means to their land, livelihood and generations to follow. We were even able to sample some amazing ribs before the storms rolled in!

CapturePoint is #hiring an Operations Engineer to join our industry leading CCUS team. The CCUS Operations Engineer will work from our Allen, Texas headquarters and report to the Director of CCUS. The focus of the job is CO2 injection and monitoring well design and Class VI permitting for deep underground storage of carbon dioxide. Substantial experience in well operations with an emphasis on construction design, P&A assessments and downhole monitoring are requirements. Bia Energy Operating Company (https://www.bia-energy.com) announced that carbon dioxide captured from its $1.2B Low-Carbon Blue Methanol Project planned near Shreveport, Louisiana will be permanently stored in CapturePoint's deep underground CENLA Hub carbon storage sites. Up to 250,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide is expected to be sequestered annually when the project is fully operational.
