The City of Cleveland has announced the winners of the Transformative Art Fund grants, with seven awards ranging from $312,000 to $482,000. Another great start to the day at Coffee with COSE at Ready Set Coffee! These informal meet-ups are some of my favorite experiences with small business owners. It gives them an opportunity to connect with other entrepreneurs who are dealing with the same issues, challenges, or opportunities. Today, we talked about talent retention and the conversation quickly turned to the value and importance of culture. We discussed company values, generational workforce shifts, work/life balance, and the need for employees to feel like they are appreciated and making an impact. Everyone is always so open to sharing their experiences and taking advice and ideas from others who "get them."
