We are a non-profit organization creating solutions to provide home-based digital access to all public school children, effectively eliminating "the digital divide." E2D is sourcing cost-efficient computer hardware/software/bandwidth and placing computers into homes of families that have no or substandard access to digital technology. E2D is also subsidizing these costs through fundraising.

Meet the Team! E2D has grown an extraordinary team of Lab Supervisors. Several of them began with us as 10th graders and are now full-time. All of them care a ton about this work and are very professional in ensuring that our labs are operating at their highest potential and capacities.
E2D is pleased to announce that we have been awarded an NCDIT Digital Champion Grant of $1,500,000 by the State of North Carolina to expand our capacity to acquire, refurbish and redistribute computers to NC residents with need. These funds are critical for our growth, but they are also an affirmation of the work we are accomplishing and the trust that the State has in our technology lab production models. We are honored to serve NC.

We’re proud to sponsor E2D - Eliminate the Digital Divide, who is distributing a free computer to every single graduate of Charlotte public schools who is attending a Historically Black College or University. That’s 700 students who won’t have to face the barrier of having a laptop for college. Talk about bridging the #digitaldivide! 💻
We are thrilled to share some incredible news with you! The E2D team, with the unwavering support of our partners at AvidXchange, Inc., Duke Energy Corporation, EY, Google Fiber, Honeywell, Lowe's Companies, Inc., TIAA, and Truist, has just completed one of the largest and most impactful pilot programs in our (over) 10 years of existence. Thanks to this collaborative effort, we are proud to announce that every graduating Charlotte-Mecklenburg senior attending an HBCU this fall is receiving a laptop this month. This initiative ensures that hundreds of students are now equipped with the technology they need to succeed in their college endeavors. This milestone is not just about providing laptops; it’s about empowering our future leaders, bridging the digital divide, and fostering educational equity.
