If you're 18 or older, live in LA County, and have had personal experience of homelessness or the justice system, you may be eligible! Careers for a Cause, led by Team DEO and local partners, offers an 8-week job training program, along with comprehensive support services and case management, at local community colleges. Apply today for the next cohort starting in September at East Los Angeles College. Deadline to apply is August 16th.   • 35 local entrepreneurs graduated from the first Entrepreneurship Academy, hosted at San Fernando City Hall in partnership with @iconcdc through our new Economic Mobility Initiative (EMI), on Friday with Supervisor @lindseyphorvath. Through EMI, our entrepreneurship academies help individuals start a business with training, mentorship, capital, and other critical resources including developing a business plan, hiring and developing staff, managing finances, marketing and more! Recruitment is currently ongoing for local entrepreneurs and small business owners in all five supervisorial districts!
