Educators from around the state experienced The Farm at Florence 1 today for SC Ag in the Classroom. Educators were captivated by our story of how The Farm was once a dream that has become a reality for our students to experience. They were engaged in conversation, inquiring about student involvement, what activities students experience and learn during their Exploration Days, and even the process we use to go from visit request to Exploration Day. We were also delighted to share that many of our schools have their own school gardens, horticulture, or agriculture programs. Lessons at The Farm reinforce what students have already been learning at their home school. Educators were also able to enjoy lessons from our invaluable partners, like Clemson Extension and Florence County SC 4-H, including a take-home gift of a compost pile and cooking lessons. And just like our students, teachers enjoyed a freshly, chef-prepared lunch. #StudentsFirst #farmtoschool #AgEducation #SouthCarolinaFarmtoSchool
