Point solutions are dead. Long live community solutions. Allow me to explain. We all like to talk about how it’s the end of the road for digital health point solutions, given how saturated employers already are. There are simply too many companies selling into the same channels, and there’s a lack of “connective tissue” meaning that these vendors don’t connect to the health care system or even each other. There’s also a lot of overlap. No employer needs 6 point solutions all focused on diabetes. But that doesn’t mean that the greater efficiency and improved patient outcomes that point solutions promised have to go. In fact, I’m more bullish than ever that we’ll see exactly that promise delivered via community solutions. Rather than focusing on a specific condition, community-based approaches involve a specific population or subgroup that spans medical, social and emotional needs. That is what we do at FOLX: We build for the LGBTQIA+ community, and we provide holistic care. These community solutions are not niches - we might be talking about anywhere from 5 percent to 50 percent of an employers’ population. In our case, our best estimate is 7.6%. Why am I such a fan? We see tangible benefits with these community solutions in the form of true ROI for our employers, and we see a path to solving one of the most critical challenges facing digital health today. To use us as a case study - 99% of our FOLX members have told us they’re satisfied with their progress towards their goals in 6 months. And on average, our members gain 2 healthy days per month within 3 months of starting care with us. Community solutions benefit from word of mouth – once members find us, they have a tendency to share the news with others. 31% of our members hear about us that way. Are you a fellow community-based solution? If so, in the spirit of connectivity, reach out - we’d love to find ways to work together.

Happy Non-Binary Awareness Week! 🌈 I want to take a moment to recognize Non-Binary Awareness Week as an opportunity to commit to creating more inclusive workplaces. By educating ourselves, advocating for inclusive policies, and fostering open conversations, we can ensure that every individual, regardless of their gender identity, feels valued and empowered. Non-binary employees bring a variety of opportunities & benefits to the workplace! I've listed just a few below and a personal thought from me at the end. 🚀 Diverse Problem-Solving Approaches Non-binary individuals often have experiences that differ from those of their cisgender colleagues. These experiences can lead to diverse ways of thinking and problem-solving. Diversity in thought is crucial for innovation and creativity in the workplace. 🚀 Building Stronger Team Dynamics Teams that include non-binary members often benefit from better communication and collaboration. Non-binary individuals can encourage conversations about identity and acceptance, fostering a more cohesive and understanding team dynamic. 🚀 Expanding Market Perspectives Non-binary employees can help companies better understand and connect with a diverse customer base. Their unique perspectives can provide insights into marketing strategies, product development, and customer service that appeal to a broader audience. 🚀 Role Models and Mentorship Non-binary individuals in leadership or visible roles can serve as role models for other employees, particularly for employees of other marginalized groups. This visibility can inspire and empower others to pursue their career goals, knowing that they too can succeed and be recognized for their contributions. And, a little personal note from me 😉 Supporting my non-binary partner has shown me the importance of listening, learning and committing to growth beyond my comfort zone. Their unique perspective & courage to live openly & honestly enriches my life and inspires me every day. I am a better colleague, leader, advocate, mother & friend because of this and I'm excited everyday to bring that education and enthusiasm to work at FOLX Health for our clients and members. Please reach out to me if you have questions on how we can help you & your organization on this! Our entire team is ready whenever you need us. Also a *HUGE* shoutout & thank you to fellow colleagues, organizations and creators on here always inspiring me to continue learning, loving and growing! Nate Shalev, Haley Everheart, Liana M. If you're the parent or loved one of a transgender or gender diverse person, your support is crucial to their wellbeing. Jae Corman, PhD, who leads clinical analytics and research here at FOLX Health, published a recent article highlighting the critical role of family support in the mental health of LGBTQ+ youth. Among those aged 18-25 seeking telehealth for gender-affirming hormones, less than half reported family support. A lack of family support is linked with higher rates of poor mental health. This is why we are committed to helping transgender and gender diverse individuals AND their families. Family relationships, and everyone's wellbeing, depends on having support, for everyone. We offer resources, consultations, and support groups for parents and loved ones. While families are not the only source of support for youth—chosen family and other key relationships matter too—they do play a significant role. Your acceptance can make all the difference. 🏳️🌈💜 Reference: Downing, Jae, et al. 🌈 Happy Disability Pride Month! 🌈 Did you know that transgender adults have higher rates of disabilities than cisgender adults, particularly functional limitations related to cognition (difficulty remembering, concentrating, or making decisions) and independent living (difficulty doing errands alone, such as visiting a doctor’s office)? 🧠🏠 This means that traditional Pride events can be challenging for many in our community. Crowded venues, loud environments, and physical barriers often limit participation and enjoyment. At FOLX Health, we embraced the power of virtual spaces this year by offering a Virtual Pride celebration! 🎉💻 Virtual environments are incredible for celebrating identities and learning new skills. Our members highlighted several benefits of virtual events: • Accessibility: Virtual events remove physical barriers, making it easier for everyone to participate. 🚪✨ • Comfort: For those with mobility or sensory considerations, virtual events provide a more comfortable experience. 🛋️ Virtual events allow individuals to join from their own safe and controlled environments, reducing stress and enhancing participation. 👂💬 As a person with unilateral hearing loss (UHL), I often get overwhelmed or exhausted being in noisy environments for long periods of time. Virtual Pride allows everyone, including those with disabilities, to join in the celebration without limitations. Personally, it means a lot to me as it provides a space where I can comfortably participate. This is just a step in the right direction, a start toward creating truly inclusive spaces. Let's keep working together to support and empower all members of our community. 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈🤝 #DisabilityPrideMonth #VirtualPride #Inclusivity #Accessibility #Pride2024 #DisabilityIsDiversity #DisabilityVisibility #DisabilityInclusion #WalkingTheWalk #UnlearnAbleism #DisabilityAwareness #DisabilityPride Citation: Smith-Johnson, M. We had such a meaningful time at Pride Camp 🏕️🌈! Nearly 500 registrants joined us at a series of incredible events, including meditation and wellness activities, creative workshops, support groups, community celebrations and sharing, and so much more! Our events received a 91% CSAT score, and the feedback has been extraordinary. Creating access and spaces of belonging is core to our mission at FOLX, and we're glad the fun doesn't have to stop just because June is over. Here at FOLX, we're queer all year. Join us for future events and reach out if you want to partner!

Pride should be more than a rainbow-washed logo on LinkedIn for 30 days. At FOLX, we try to live up to the values of Pride year-round but we also love the opportunity to leverage Pride for celebration, for creativity, for education, for health and to integrate life with work. And this year I was so proud of our team for sponsoring, producing or supporting a grand total of 36 events that offered something for everyone. We got to partner with the likes of Aon, Homethrive, Accolade, Inc., Mercer and Blue Shield of California to celebrate our community via webinars, parades and other collaborations. I even got to speak to the team at CVS Health’s signature Pride event where we covered the challenges our community faces in accessing equitable and affirming healthcare and how partnerships like ours are helping to make the care our community needs and deserves more accessible. A highlight for me personally? Joining nearly 500 members of our FOLX Health community at our inaugural Pride camp (https://lnkd.in/e6HhW4SJ) - a legit summer camp for adults with crafts, ghost stories, open mics and s'mores. Watching members of our community connect in these ways gave me a much needed moment to reflect on why Pride continues to mean so much. How did you celebrate Pride this year? Hot tip: If you’re an employer and looking for some creative ideas, look no further than our own Haley E. and the brilliant FOLX marketing team. She and I are always looking for ways to work together. And if you’re interested in working even more closely with us, we’ve got some open positions - if check them out and if something feels like a good fit, apply at https://lnkd.in/ejMBjh4A.

It has been a joyous #PrideMonth for #TeamCVS as we celebrated #LoudandProud. From sharing heart-touching stories — including from CVS Health colleagues like Samantha McKenzie (https://lnkd.in/eBB6WpHN) — to engaging in thought-provoking panel discussions around the Future of LGBTQ+ Healthcare with a FOLX Health and to participating in several Pride Month activities across the country, our PRIDE+ Colleague Resource Group (CRG) has done a fantastic job at amplifying the importance of LGBTQ+ voices. The exceptional leadership of our PRIDE+ National CRG Co-Chairs – David Crawford and Jason Heckert – alongside our PRIDE+ CRG Executive Sponsors - Jennifer Truscott and Tom Cowhey - continues to empower our LGBTQ+ colleagues to live out loud and authentically, not just during Pride Month, but every day. I hope your Pride Month was as impactful as mine! I’m excited next to celebrate ADA/Disability Pride Month in July! Oh, what a glorious summer! #PrideMonth #LGBTQ+ #LoudandProud #ADAPrideMonth #DisabilityPrideMonth #DEIB #Summer2024
