Last week our team had the opportunity to make meaningful connections and share our story on stage at two stellar events: 🏙 At the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce's Energy Summit, Eliza Tobin and Charlotte Meerstadt spoke to NYC decision makers, utility providers, founders, landlords and business owners. Charlotte Meerstadt was part of a panel moderated by Jeannette Williams on "Innovations in Energy Technology and Startups in NYC", discussing her favourite NY policies, the importance of community and building a company in the Big Apple. 👩👩👧👧 Margaret Coblentz and Dawn Dobras at Capital F organised a NYC get-together for female founders and funders with Charlotte Meerstadt on the panel. She shared her thoughts on audacious goals for Fram Energy, how to choose your investors and getting started building your company. Meanwhile, (Sarah) Beckham H. hooked up half of the attendees with new apartments through her real estate network. We're excited to follow up on all of the great conversations we had!

🏆 The team at Fram Energy is proud to win the Set! round of the American-Made Solar Prize! A panel of judges from the U.S. solar industry evaluated our business model, technology and team and selected us amongst the top 10 solar startups in the U.S. In addition to the regular prize, we also received the Justice, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion award, recognizing our product's role in empowering underserved communities. 🌞 At Fram Energy we make solar work for the rental market through our software solution, which splits solar savings between landlords and their tenants. 🙌 This milestone is the result of intense collaboration with our landlord-customers, tenant-customers, solar installation partners, utility and regulator partners, hardware partners and previous winners of the Solar Prize who generously shared their time and insights. 🎉 The team at Fram Energy is thrilled to announce that Lauren Block will be joining us as Founding Software Engineer. Lauren is a solar veteran who worked at Aurora Solar in the early days and led several volunteer efforts to bring solar power to underserved communities. The past years, she brought digital learning to classrooms across the U.S. at Seesaw Learning. She will be playing an essential role in our mission to bring the energy transition to rental homes. 👩💻 In Lauren's words: "I'm so excited to be working on such a creative approach to an important, gnarly problem! Big news in U.S. Clean Energy- the organisations that will distribute EPA's Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund have been chosen. This fund presents a huge opportunity to fund energy retrofit projects, especially ones that benefit communities (like Fram Energy's projects!). 🌈 🏘 👨👨👧👧 These eight organisations will work with hundreds of local CDFIs across the U.S. to distribute the funding. Exciting times ahead!
