About us
Framework E is an African American owned professional services architecture and engineering small business founded by 2 former Fortune 500 executives in Detroit. We are laser focused on Equity. We both know there is a better way to deliver excellent design than through the clutches of middle managers. I am proud to say that I spent the last decade selflessly teaching, learning from, rewarding, and promoting great thinkers in our field! Now we have an amazing team of super talented colleagues at our fingertips. While the rest of the industry fights to hire, Framework E seeks a different kind of leader! Are you ready? Pierre Roberson, AIA, NOMA, NCARB one of our founders doing God’s work with the beautiful children of #detroit. This is how we do! #Architects #Leaders and #Community #Builders. If you think you meet the criteriea hit us back. We need your help architecting leading and community building!!!
This is a day that I won't soon forget. The day that I literally "represented" for my neighborhood. Shout out to Kristen Howard for capturing this conversation with these young ladies which led to the inclusion of a dance studio in their neighborhood rec center! They asked for it, I jotted down, and led the team to include it. A call to architecture firms - If we are serious about diversifying the future of our practice we must promote black architects into leadership roles in which the black architects are able to actively PRACTICE ARCHITECTURE! Specifically, we should be in roles of Lead Architect and Principal Architect. Black architects should be directly engaging clients and communities in the process of design. Representation matters!

Framework E's HBCU interns presented their first proposal for the CRCAA project to some of the organization's teens! To say that we are PROUD is an understatement. Meet our team! Stephen Bohlen graduated with a Master of Architecture (M.Arch) professional degree in 2016 from Lawrence Technological University and is currently working through the testing process for licensure. About Stephen: Since the graduating, he has consistently sought out opportunities to develop his passion and skills for architecture, as he believes that architecture and design is a great responsibility as it has such a profound impact on not only the building occupants but also the surrounding environment. What Led Him to Framework E? “I joined Framework E because of a shared passion for providing great architecture, but also the desire to care both for each other and those we serve and the desire to be both mentors within and leaders in our field.” #employeespotlight #architecture #architectureanddesign #design #communitybuilding #diversityandinclusion #madeindetroit #detroitdesign
