Prior to joining Gurstel, Al represented members of the Mille Lacs Tribe as their Staff Attorney, as well as the interests of school districts and municipalities across Minnesota and Wisconsin as an Associate Attorney at Squires Waldsperger & Mace. Outside of work, Al enjoys watching and playing intramural baseball, cooking, and spending time with his wife. Jake has previous experience in consumer debt collection focusing on volume-based clients and collections. He also has experience in criminal law, general civil litigation, and estate planning. This gives him a broad understanding, legally and emotionally, of the law and how it intersects with people from many walks of life. He prides himself on providing excellent legal advice, cherishes the relationships he creates and grows with clients and coworkers, and always appreciates a challenge. Please help us welcome Sherry Moore as our new Managing Attorney in the Firm’s Las Vegas, NV office. A lifelong resident of Las Vegas, Sherry graduated from the William S. Boyd School of Law in 2008. During law school, she was a member of the Nevada Law Journal and a recipient of a CALI award for Criminal Law. Her student note, “Nevada’s Comprehensive Theft Statute: Consolidation or Confusion?”, was selected for publication in the Nevada Law Journal in 2008. Since graduation, she has practiced primarily in the field of creditors’ rights. Prior to joining the Firm, she successfully established and managed the Nevada office for a competing collection firm. Sherry is licensed in Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico.    Outside of work, Sherry loves traveling the world to pursue her passion of scuba diving: so far, she’s adventured to Cozumel, Belize, Bonaire, Grand Cayman, Fiji, Roatan, and Hawaii, just to name a few. She also enjoys watching television and movies, reading, fitness, and spending time with friends and family.

Please help us welcome Alex Torres as our new Associate Attorney in the Firm’s Golden Valley, MN office.   Prior to joining Gurstel Law, Alex was a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Adam E. Johnson with the Minnesota First Judicial District. He went to law school at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Law and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley. He is originally from California and strongly prefers the Minnesota weather.   Outside of work, Alex enjoys playing video games, walking his dog, Lexi, and spending time with his family.
