For the past three years, we've been volunteering with HUGS to help them prepare for their annual Christmas in July event at Wet N Wild Hawaii. HUGS supports families with seriously ill children by providing food, supplies, sponsorships, and more. We had so much fun selecting presents for children and their siblings to receive at the event coming soon!

A partnership between Navy Region Hawai‘i and Hawaiian Telcom has exponentially strengthened the reliability of Hawai‘i’s communications network through a successful fiber project on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. Completed in early 2024, this multi-million dollar collaborative project enabled Hawaiian Telcom to directly link West O‘ahu and Metro O‘ahu utilizing a route that runs through Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. Hawaiian Telcom deployed the largest fiber-optic cable ever installed in the state of Hawai‘i for this project. “The need for higher-speed data transmission to support defense, government, commercial, and residential demands is fueling the expansion of fiber-optic networks nationwide,” said U.S. Congressman Ed Case. “This historic project provides massive capacity to support Hawai‘i’s growing strategic position in the Pacific region. With our ongoing statewide fiber expansion, we've been able to work on updating our vehicle fleet with a $13 million investment. By the end of 2024, Hawaiian Telcom’s fleet will take in 107 new vehicles that will be distributed statewide. “Our new vehicle wraps showcase our fast, reliable, 100% fiber internet Fioptics brand,” said Creative Manager Josh Wade. “Our unique message, color palette and design assets work in harmony to create a memorable visual identity, and differentiate us from other brands in the Hawai‘i market." In addition to the renewed fleet, our team has established open communication between Field Operations, Construction and Fleet Operations in order to improve efficiency with our fleet management. On May 29, our President, Su Shin, was able to present a check of $17,333.00 as part of our ArtsWave 2024 fundraiser. We are proud to be a supporter of the Hui No'eau Visual Arts Center and are so thankful for the work they are doing to support the Maui arts community! Hui No‘eau Visual Arts Center is a nonprofit, non-degree granting, community based visual arts education organization offering open access to quality arts instruction by teaching artists. The Hui provides an array of programs that support lifelong learning in the arts including art workshops and classes for all ages, lectures, exhibitions, art events, historical house tours, and educational outreach programs with schools and community partner organizations. Our programs and services are accessible to all regardless of artistic aptitude. The art studios at Hui No‘eau are the only public studios on Maui that offer year-round access to fine art equipment and technical supervision for all who choose to participate. The exhibition program and galleries of Hui No‘eau play an important role in Maui’s art community and feature work from local artists and creative minds from around the world. The unique gallery shop features the work of Hui No‘eau member artists and a wide variety of handcrafted and museum-quality gift items.
