FiberPad Natural Fiber Carpet Underlayment Achieves USDA Biobased Certification! 🚜🌱 Hempitecture Inc. is excited to announce today that it has earned the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Certified Biobased Product Label for FiberPad. FiberPad is a natural fiber carpet underlayment material, comprised of natural hemp fibers, functional fibers, and fire retardants. The engineered composition of FiberPad nets nearly 60% biogenic carbon content, making it the only Certified Biobased Carpet Underlayment Product on the market in the USA. "We applaud Hempitecture Inc. for earning the USDA Certified Biobased Product Label," said Vernell Thompson, USDA BioPreferred Program. "The label is intended to help spur economic development, create new jobs, and provide new markets for farm commodities. But the label also makes it easier for consumers and federal buyers to locate biobased products and consider planet-friendlier options during purchase decisions. By having their products become USDA Certified Biobased, Hempitecture Inc. joins an expanding list of businesses combatting inaccurate marketing claims and the practice of greenwashing, while also contributing to a thriving bioeconomy that decreases our reliance on petroleum." Two rooms in 3 days. Celesta Capital's current space features a low acoustical tile ceiling with a congested plenum space. Being a structurally free-standing box-in-box, Modwall eliminated the need to relocate MEP/FP Systems during installation, saving time and money, and giving them the option to relocate the rooms on demand. "Modwall worked seamlessly with our base building MEP, AV and Technology Systems. We were also able to integrate our proprietary room scheduling touchpads, displays, and lighting controls just as if we'd built the rooms with drywall," says Chip Harder, Celesta's Director of IT. #futureofwork #commercialconstruction #commercialrealestate #modularconstruction #prefab #productdesign #modwall

Hempitecture visits Gensler Architects in Denver, Colorado 📐✏️📏 Special thanks to the Gensler team for bringing us in to speak about the future of natural fiber materials from rapidly renewable, soil regenerating crops. During our visit, we spoke about our current products, and what's coming in the future. From batt insulation, to rigid panels, to acoustic products, Hempitecture is working to craft whole building material solutions that help reduce the impact of embodied carbon in the built environment. It's exciting to see that internationally recognized firms like Gensler are taking into account the impact that materials used in our built environment have on our natural world.

Biobased Hemp Insulation for Acoustics 🔊🔊🔊 Did you know that sound is an important hallmark of how we experience comfort in the built environment? Temperature and humidity are often thought to be the most important characteristics that contribute to comfort, but sound plays a huge role. Think about it: when you are in a space with noise reflecting off walls floors and ceilings, or you can hear things like sirens or traffic outside, what does that do to your perception of comfort? Often, our sense of comfort is reduced in noisy, echoing spaces, even if the temperature and humidity is comfortable. Our products are engineered at a density that help attenuate more sound versus conventional products that are far lower density. In addition to that, we're rolling out products in 2024 that are particularly adept at attenuating sound, and we'll be experimenting with acoustic specific solutions. HempWool thermal insulation performs well with sound, helping capture sound at different frequencies. For a limited time, until Earth Day 4/22, HempWool is available for 25% off at www.buy.hempitecture.com
