The Quinn Institute Grand Opening. Such an amazing thing to see and support! 🌎🌱
We had a successful Grand Opening, Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Field Day last week on July 9th! The event was held in conjunction with the Montana Organic Association's 2024 Farm Tours. We would like to thank everyone who came to celebrate the opening of our non-profit research, education and health institute as well as all those who participated in any way to make the whole day a great success. The field day consisted of of 8 different research projects, 3 in the morning and 5 in the afternoon. After lunch, we had a ribbon-cutting ceremony and heard remarks from Christy Clark, Director of the Montana Department of Agriculture as well as a message sent from Senator Jon Tester read by his Agriculture Liaison, Jesse Anderson. We are so grateful to Chandee Bomgardner of Bomgardner Catering for the delicious spread of salads, refreshing drinks, and French Dip sandwiches, using Grist Milling and Bakery's Kamut sourdough baguettes - which we were made by baker Dan from Missoula himself. He delivered them personally on the morning of the event and was also part of one of the projects we spotlighted. Thank you to all our research partners who came to speak about their programs: Dan Venturella of Grist Milling and Bakery, Dalton Wittmer of IND HEMP , Joseph Kibiwott from Timeless Seeds , Dr. Sue Mondal and Dr. Jed Eberly from Montana State University, Dr. Sasha Loewen from the University of Manitoba, and Ashlee Atchison from the Montana Salinity Control Association. We are excited about all the support and encouragement we received to continue our mission to “heal the Earth by growing food as medicine.” You can read more about us on our website www.quinninstitute.org.
