September 16th is a tough day for our family. It's my sister Sue's birthday and it's hard to believe she's been gone 17 years. Hard to wonder what her life would have been like today. She had just left her abusive boyfriend who then came back into her life and took it. How can anyone ever make sense of the madness of domestic violence? And still, it persists. That's why for her birthday this year, I'm asking people to support Global Rights for Women. This small but mighty non-profit works all over the world helping change the legal framework to help bring an end to gender based violence. Right now, they are working on programs in Minnesota, North Dakota, The Philippines and Republic of Georgia. They have done critical work in 60 countries around the world often partnering with the UN. The work they do is nothing but heroic. And all the money goes to program work. Please consider donating in Sue's name. Thank you. And happy birthday, Sue. We miss you. https://lnkd.in/gbGN3t-V
