My compliments to Sherman Associates for inviting my beautiful wife, my beautiful sisters, and I this past weekend to Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity Annual Gala at the Depot! Over 1.1MM was raised to support this wonderful organization goal to deliver affordable homeownership opportunities to individuals, and families throughout the Twin Cities. I'm proud to call Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity & Sherman Associates development partners on the largest affordable housing project in the State, The Heights, which will deliver over a 1,000 homes & 1,000 permanent jobs! The money raised will go to support, and promote affordable homeownership, and advance racial equity in housing in the State of MN. Last week, I had the pleasure of attending the 156th Annual Saint Paul Area Chamber Meeting which I also have the pleasure of serving on the Board of Directors. This organization has a deep history, and roots in the capital city, Saint Paul led by President & CEO, B Kyle, and new Board Chair, Lea Hargett whom I'm very proud of! The theme this year was centered on "Building A New Table: Making Room For New Ideas, Voices & Perspectives." Amazing meeting, great people, good energy, and as always, and most importantly I learned something. We all have a part, and role to play in making sure Saint Paul, and Minnesota as a whole continues to thrive, think big, and lead on national issues such as the affordable housing crisis. As a developer, it's especially important to me in making sure Minnesotans have access to high-quality housing options that's sustainable, and most importantly, affordable! Lastly, here's a few shots of our new Board Chair, Lea Hargett, and former Mayor of Saint Paul, and US Senator Norm Coleman!

Happy New Year, and let me first officially say congratulations to the all-woman Saint Paul City Council for the first time in the capital city's history!!! I've already worked with the three incumbent councilwomen, and I'm looking forward to working with the four newly elected councilwomen as well. I'm looking forward to working with you all on The Heights alongside Sherman Associates, and Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity to deliver 1049 high-quality sustainable homes that will stand the test of time for individuals, and families on the Eastside of Saint Paul!!! Just want to send a thank you to all the former council members, but send a special out to my Day One's, former Councilwoman, Jane L. Prince for Ward 7, and former Council-President, Amy Brendmoen for Ward 5. These two women supported my vision at the genesis of my career, put their names on the line, and went above, and beyond for years as our team, and I worked tirelessly for YEARS to deliver on our vision for The Hollows in Ward 7 that provides 62 homes for individuals, and families! Wishing you two all the best in the next chapter in your lives, and always know if you ever need anything, I'll be here. Thank you again for your selfless leadership, support, and friendship over the years! Truly means a lot!!!! Cheers, JO
