When working toward a common goal, amazing things happen. Thank you Wisconsin Department of Revenue and our partners on a successful first reporting period.
In times like these, I'm extremely grateful for our Wisconsin Department of Revenue - State and Local Finance (SLF) team and the relationships we've established. We were able to support every Wisconsin county and municipality in successfully completing their Maintenance of Effort (MOE) certification! What does that mean? Each WI local government certified their applicable public safety service levels are on pace in 2024 to be at least equivalent to 2023. It was an absolute group effort in education and communication. Thank you to the SLF team for answering hundreds of questions and providing outstanding customer service. Thank you to our partners - Wisconsin Towns Association, League of Wisconsin Municipalities, and WCA: Wisconsin Counties Association . As well as, Wisconsin EMS Association, Wisconsin Professional Police Association, Wisconsin State Fire Chiefs' Association, Wisconsin Chiefs of Police Association, Professional Ambulance Association of Wisconsin, and Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin. Your collaboration and partnership were critical to the success of this year's filing season! Now, we all must ensure our local governments finish what they've initiated for 2024. The work continues... #slf #widor #collaboration #publicsafety #innovation #sharedrevenue #localgovernment #finance #outreach #community #Wisconsin

We were joined by representatives from Green Bay, Kenosha, and Milwaukee to highlight their programs. We are excited to share our 5th edition of More Housing Wisconsin, our joint initiative with the Wisconsin Builders Association (WBA), and the Wisconsin Realtors Association (WRA) aimed to provide education on steps, actions and funding procedures to increase housing in Wisconsin. This edition explores supporting infill development by allowing missing middle housing and accessory dwelling units in residential zoning districts. Learn how your community can adjust its zoning code and other regulations to increase housing choices in existing and new neighborhoods that are more affordable to various income levels. https://lnkd.in/gAdCcFRA
