  • The Soul of Cedar Fair-Jill Emery was honored at Michigan's Adventure.

Jill Emery might be the “Energizer bunny” of Michigan’s Adventure. Spend a few minutes with any of her colleagues and one of the first things they talk about is the boundless energy and enthusiasm she brings to her job as manager of admissions and guest experience.  “She really inspires happiness,” says Camille Jourden-Mark, park vice president and general manager. “Jill makes whoever she is working with feel like there is no one more important than they are at that moment. Havoc could be breaking out and Jill is right in the middle of it to assure guests that it’s going to be the best day possible.” That commitment to making people happy – whether by staying at the park well after closing time to retrieve a lost item for a guest, or giving heartfelt hugs and sending handwritten thank-you notes to her team members at the end of the season – earned Emery a 2024 Cedar Fair Soul Award. Now in its third year, the Soul Award is the highest achievement presented to associates. For Emery, who has held a variety of jobs at Michigan’s Adventure over the past 10 years, it’s a labor of love. “To me, it’s about giving your heart to what you do. It’s about showing up. It’s about giving your all. It’s caring about your guests and the people you work with. We’re a small park and we all have to work really hard and pull for each other. And that shows in everything we do,” she said. Congratulations Jill! https://lnkd.in/gnDnC8-j

  • So excited and proud to have Jill on our team! Congratulations to all three winners, but especially our Manager of Admissions and Guest Experience, Jill Emery!

Today we announced the three winners of the 2024 Cedar Fair Soul Awards, celebrating those associates who best embody our vision, mission, purpose, essence and values – collectively known as The Soul of Cedar Fair. Now in its third year, the Soul Awards are the highest achievement presented to associates. The winners were chosen based on their actions to inspire happiness, act with integrity, champion inclusivity, and deliver on our mission of creating “Better FUN for a Better World.” It's worth noting that in the three years we have been celebrating the Soul Awards, there have been a total of nine winners -- and all have come from different Cedar Fair parks. Our 2024 Soul Award winners are: Jill Emery, Manager of Admissions and Guest Experience, Michigan’s Adventure. Colleagues say Jill inspires happiness by “making whoever she is working with feel like no one is more important than they are at that moment.” Christina Luna, Manager of Ride Operations, Knott’s Berry Farm. One of her colleagues told us there are guests who actively seek out Christina when they come to the park because she has impacted their experience in such a positive way. Tony Aaron, Director of Food and Beverage, Cedar Point. He’s known to many at the park, and in the community, as “Mr. Cedar Point,” a leader whose tireless commitment to excellence inspires everyone with whom he interacts. Congratulations to our three winners and all who were nominated!

We had over 50 nominations for our Business Excellence Awards this year! The process of choosing the winners was not easy and for the Tourism category, specifically, we couldn't pick just one! The first winner we want to highlight is Michigan's Adventure Amusement Park. Michigan's Adventure has done an astounding job of attracting tourists from all over the state and country! Many people (who are not from the area) know of Muskegon because of Michigan's Adventure. We are thrilled to recognize them as one of our Excellence in Tourism winners this year and appreciate the partnership and work they are doing in the community! Learn more about the history and operations of the amusement & waterpark below! Video by: Promotional Communications Network

  • 🙂Last week Michigan's Adventure had the privilege of volunteering at the Feeding America West Michigan warehouse. 🙋🏼♀️As volunteers we worked in the reclamation area. Reclamation, from a food bank perspective, is the process of reclaiming or rescuing food from going to waste. Donated food is inspected and either discarded or made suitable for distribution to neighbors in need. Our group helped to rescue 7,760 pounds of potatoes to provide 6,466 meals. 🥔🍲
