  • Disability Pride Month, celebrated every July, is a time to honor the diversity and uniqueness of the disability community. It is a powerful reminder of the importance of inclusion, visibility, and rights for individuals with disabilities. One of the critical yet often overlooked aspects of disability is the need for diapers and other incontinence supplies. For many individuals with disabilities, incontinence is a daily reality, whether due to physical, developmental, or neurological conditions. The impact of diaper need on individuals with disabilities and their families is profound. Access to adequate incontinence supplies is crucial for maintaining dignity, comfort, and health. By recognizing and addressing diaper need, we take a significant step toward true inclusivity and support for all individuals with disabilities. Disability Pride Month reminds us that everyone deserves to live with dignity and respect, and that includes having access to the necessary supplies to manage incontinence. Let’s use this month to champion for change and support our fellow community members in every way possible! Donate to help: https://lnkd.in/eeASmavy

  • Moms Helping Moms extends heartfelt thanks to the Union County, New Jersey Board of County Commissioners for granting us $10,000 through the Community Development Block Grant. This funding enabled us to supply essential car seats to community members in need. Car seats are indispensable for families bringing newborns home from hospitals in cars, and the demand for these seats has been substantial. With the support of the Commissioners, we successfully organized five distribution events, ensuring parents have this vital resource to safeguard their children. How can you help? Consider ordering a car seat from our Amazon wishlist to help support mother's in need! All orders ship directly to our warehouse for your convenience. https://lnkd.in/eWdFC4xm? We deeply appreciate our ongoing partnership with organizations like the Union County Board of County Commissioners for their continued support!

Funds from JWF-NJ allowed us to purchase and distribute 64 infant and convertible car seats to women in need across the state! Pictured is one of our long time partners, Feeding Hands, who gratefully received car seats for two new moms.
