The New Jersey Department of Community Affairs is proud to announce the success of our recent presentation at the #NationalAlliancetoEndHomelessness Conference in Washington, DC. Our team, led by Tina McGill, Assistant Director of the Office of Homelessness Prevention (pictured in red) delivered an impactful session on "Strategic Alignment in Public Housing: Leveraging Large-Scale Outreach." We shared our innovative approach to aligning #HousingChoiceVoucher waitlists with major outreach events like the #PointInTimeCount. Collaborating with Taiisa Kelly, @MonarchHousing, and Alicia Alvarez, @NourishNJ, we highlighted strategies for enhancing cooperation between #ContinuumsofCare, counties, municipalities, and public housing authorities. This national platform allowed us to showcase NJ's commitment to streamlining policies, improving inflow processes, and sustaining housing for the unhoused. We're excited to implement these strategies and continue leading in the fight against homelessness. @naehomelessness
