If you employ one or more domestic workers—such as nannies, house cleaners, or caregivers—in New Jersey, you may be required to provide them with a written contract, payment of at least the state minimum wage, meal and rest breaks, and more. Your caregiver helps take care of your family. NJ’s Domestic Workers’ Bill of Rights helps ensure that you take care of them in return.
