Ellie completed her 42nd and FINAL chemotherapy treatment! 🎉 At just 5 years old, Ellie has shown incredible strength and resilience. After being diagnosed with a rare brain tumor in August 2022 and undergoing emergency brain surgery, Ellie started her chemo treatments at Norton Children’s Cancer Institute in April 2023. Throughout her journey, Ellie quickly made friends and formed special bonds with caregivers Hope, Ed and Dean, with her BEST friends being Luna the facility dog and Child Life Therapist, Colleen. Ellie is known to have many costume changes during her treatments, including showing up as a princess, ballerina or rocking fuzzy jammies. Ellie’s mom said, “While her journey was long and difficult, we knew her Fridays spent at Norton Children’s Cancer Institute would be full of giggles and hope. The moment you walk off the elevator you are greeted with love.” Let’s celebrate Ellie’s amazing journey and the joy she brings to everyone around her! Congratulations, Ellie and family!
