American by Choice: I recently took the Oath of Allegiance and officially became a United States citizen! On this Memorial Day, I am reminded of the great sacrifices made by the brave men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces to protect the country that I now embrace as my own. Their courage helped make America a beacon of hope and opportunity for millions of immigrants. The United States has opened its arms to me as I pursued my education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and started Fitnescity, and I am proud to call myself American by choice.

Showing preserverance to never quit and finishing what you start is the key mindset to long term success. 💡

Jeff Murphy, NTAN Executive Director, had the opportunity to attend the #ACASummit2024 which was an incredible opportunity to collaborate and learn from colleagues in the Angel investment community during our annual conference. It was wonderful to spend time with so many amazing individuals such as Sarah Dickey and Drew Tulchin. - Some takeaways from the event. ACA is building more ways for Angel networks to syndicate deals to help good startups achieve their investment goals and grow their business. •Angel investors need to commit to their craft. •10-20 dealers built over 5-10 years result in a positive return on a portfolio. •ACA plans to launch a Convertible Note template on June 1. Great support for both investors and startups. •Monthly syndication calls to nominate startups for syndication (sharing with other Angel groups). •Women founded Startups + CleanTech & Life Sciences - Jeff along with Angels from around the US also participated in Texas hold’em charity event supporting the Angel Investment Assoc.

NTAN had a phenomenal May Pitch Meeting with the largest in-person and online attendance to date! 👏 There were four amazing pitches, and the venue at JPMorgan Chase & Co. was excellent.
