Thanks to OSARO VP of Operations Gemma Ross and the entire OSARO team for this great video of robots in action at the OSARO lab. Lots of FANUC America Corporation robots! From depalletizing incoming inventory to outbound bagging and kitting, OSARO robotic solutions can solve labor challenges and improve operational performance–across the fulfillment center. Let’s automate! We’re hiring! #robotics #pickandplace #fulfillment #artificialintelligence
Join me on a quick tour of OSARO’s #robotics and #AI lab and see us in action! Gemma to team: Hey, what if I want to see all of the robots running at once and I get it on video as I walk through? 🤷♀️ Team to Gemma : Sure. What they really thought: Our lives are easier when you don’t come downstairs. I know I ask annoying things of you, amazing #team, but there is nothing you cannot do! Thank you for always being willing to indulge my requests ❤️🤖 cc Gabe Zingaretti Adi Dalvi Brent Barcey Karim ElKatcha Derik Pridmore

Cool post by Gemma Ross, OSARO’s VP of Operations, during a trip to The Republic of Korea. Hangul, the Korean alphabet is fascinating and Korean food is great. Both are unique to Korea. Check out her post to learn about the meal. But #warehouses and #fulfillmentcenters are the same everywhere: same challenges and the same opportunities for operational improvements driven by #robotics #automation. Let’s automate! We’re hiring! #robotics #pickandplace #fulfillment #artificialintelligence
3 things I discovered on my recent site visit to Korea with OSARO: 1. The origin and history of Hangul, the Korean alphabet, is absolutely fascinating. Everyone who loves languages should learn about it. 2. I liked real Korean food. It was a treat at the end of day after the warehouse. Even though I am a person who loathes, yes loathes, family style and sharing food, the food was too good not to share with my amazing #team. 3. Lastly, and a bit surprising to me, #warehouses and #fulfillment centers are essentially the same everywhere! It doesn’t matter if you are in Tennessee, Korea, or Japan. Everyone is grappling with how to alleviate their #laborshortages and prepare their company for the future (human labor is not coming back). Not all #AI #robotics companies are created equal, but the proof is easy to find in what they have already delivered! 🤖

Great to see OSARO’s Senior VP of Corporate Development, Brent Barcey, quoted in Amanda Loudin’s Modern Materials Handling Magazine article: “Next generation palletizing/depalletizing is here” “Most people understand that this isn’t a desirable job,” he said. “Humans shouldn’t be depalletizing in a Houston summer, for instance.” Workers consistently demonstrate that jobs requiring manual labor are not what they’re after. “Some 76% of supply chain and logistics operations are experiencing notable workforce shortages, according to a recent estimate frrom Descartes Systems Group.” Today’s robots can learn continuously, says Barcey, getting smarter as they go along. “They can adapt to new package designs, sizes and shapes,” he says. “This on-the-fly learning is key to handling the thousands of SKUs flowing through sites like Amazon and Walmart.” What businesses want is tech that works today and delivers a fast ROI,” says Barcey. “Depalletizing is one area where robotics pencils out quickly.” Read full article to gain more insights into this rapidly evolving robotics automation solution. #robotics #pickandplace #fulfillment #artificialintelligence

Many thanks to all involved in this week’s 2024 WERC Conference. And special thanks for the great panel discussion on “Deploying Successful Robotic Strategies”. The session was moderated by Brent Barcey of OSARO with panelists: Matt Charles, FANUC America Corporation; Ryan Hannon, Pitney Bowes; and Melissa Valentine, Locus Robotics. Noteworthy: over 35 audience participants provided real evidence of the accelerating interest in #roboticautomation. Thanks for your interest! Let’s automate! #robotics #pickandplace #fulfillment #artificialintelligence
