  • Conducting a search for an Accounting Manager, DC Based, but 100% Remote). $130K+ Bonus. Spanish Speakers preferred. Responsibilities: ·      Assisting with the preparation of the year-end Financials and Audit in accordance with local and US GAAP. ·      Coordinate and supervise month end accounting (accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, travel & expense reimbursement, intercompany, fixed assets, cash management, account reconciliations, etc.) ensuring finance processes and finance policies are adhered to. ·      Assist on monthly P&L review to identify and understand variances to budget and prior month.     We are conducting a search for a Financial Reporting Manager with a leading non-profit with a multi-billion dollar endowment in the DC area. Our client has a stellar reputation, both for being a trail blazer in their field and for a positive environment and work/life balance. This position reports directly to the Corporate Controller. The Financial Reporting Manager assists the Controller in ensuring that financial transactions are recorded and reported in accordance with GAAP and Foundation policies and procedures. This person will support accounting operations, research new accounting pronouncements, work collaboratively with various stakeholders related to more complex financial transactions, work with the external auditors and assist with the filing of the 990.   • Accounting Manager/Not-for-Profit Hybrid/Montgomery County We are hiring a Financial Reporting Manager for a multi-billion dollar Venture Philanthropy firm with an outstanding reputation, great people and excellent work/life balance. Responsibilities: -Assist the Controller with researching and documenting new accounting pronouncements and their impact to the Foundation’s financial statements and operations. -Assist with providing guidance on implementation considerations like new processes or coordination with other departments needed. -Work collaboratively with various stakeholders to help evaluate individual mission related investments for significant influence and other significant transaction activities to ensure appropriate accounting treatment and assist the Controller with recommendations for proper recordation. -Complete process mapping and key control identification and keep up-to-date and organize finance and accounting related policies, job aids, and process documentation. -Assist the Controller with the annual external audit process including audit readiness testing and the preparation of the audited financial statements including all required footnote disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP.     Our client, a well-performing multi-billion publicly held company in the Baltimore/Washington DC area, is looking for a Manager of Corporate Accounting BUT this role also has an FP&A component to it. This is a newly created position due to growth and promotions. They are seeking a detail-oriented accountant to join the Corporate Accounting Group. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounting, coupled with 4 to 5 years of solid accounting/finance experience. This person will be responsible for corporate accounting responsibilities but will also play a critical role in financial analysis, budgeting, and modeling activities to support the company's strategic objectives. Since the position is new, it will start out about 75% accounting and 25% FP&A but will ultimately transition in 50/50 Accounting and FP&A. Very competitive compensation package.   • We are partnering with a Leading Biotech in the DC area looking for a Head of Tax. This individual will be responsible for all aspects of the Company’s domestic and international tax compliance, tax planning and accounting for income taxes. Maintenance and development of policies and procedures for domestic and international tax. Responsible for ongoing compliance with and monitoring of tax regulations. The successful candidate will work with financial management, third party service providers, and other tax professionals in carrying out his or her responsibilities. Ideal candidate will be a CPA with at least 10 years of tax generalist experience with Big 4 or a mix of Big 4 and corporate accounting experience. We are also working on a #2 Tax position for a large energy concern in the DC area as well as similar opportunities within the hospitality and energy industry.
