What a fantastic start to the day at Accelerate VQC with our partners at Visit Quad Cities! We were thrilled to hear from Randy Cohen, VP of Research at Americans for the Arts, who shared a wealth of knowledge. The arts generated a staggering $29 million in the Quad Cities in 2022 alone. A particularly enlightening highlight: There is a correlation between jobs in an area and the arts! If there is a strong jobs market in an area there is an even stronger arts community behind it. Let’s continue to foster growth and enrich our community by investing in the arts! Join us tonight at the Celebration of the Arts to hear more from Randy himself: https://bit.ly/3Uh184w Want to dive deeper into the findings? One of the standout features that truly defines our organization is the remarkable Arts Dollars regranting program. This initiative sets us apart from other art organizations, providing a distinctive opportunity to foster innovative art projects within our community. Notably, this program has been a catalyst for artists making the leap from a job to full-time employment in the arts resulting in a vibrant array of creative projects that continue to enrich our community. We're thrilled to share that the program has received a substantial funding boost, soaring from the usual $80,000 to an impressive $110,000 for the current granting cycle. 🚀 This increase ensures that a greater number of projects will receive funding this year, translating to more opportunities for artists to be paid for their incredible work! If you're an artist or know someone who is, we encourage you to explore the application process—it's easy and straightforward. 📝 YOUR project could be the transformative spark our community needs, reaching and inspiring many others. Don't miss out on this chance to bring your project to fruition! 🌈✨ https://lnkd.in/gcUpxmxp
