Circular Economy Campaigner - advocating for more repairable and durable products

Promoting the #circulareconomy & the #righttorepair means ➕ more green jobs in Europe & economic savings for European consumers ➖ less emissions, resource waste, import dependecies from third countries 👇 We need a Green and Social Deal for a one-planet economy #EUpact4future

🌍 Champion a Green, Social, and Industrial Deal! As European leaders, you hold the key to shaping the future of our continent. Protectors of Climate and Nature continue to be a strong voice of progress in Europe, and we need your decisive leadership now more than ever. The intertwined crises of climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution affect people across all nations—this is not a partisan issue but a collective responsibility. 📊 With 84% of Europeans supporting EU action, the mandate from our citizens is clear: we need a Green and Social Deal fit for a one-planet economy—a new European Pact for the Future. 🟢 The upcoming Political Guidelines must reflect the urgency and scale of these challenges. European leaders must take responsibility, build on the achievements of the Green Deal, and ensure a future of climate neutrality, zero pollution, and thriving ecosystems. By committing to stronger, immediate action, you can help secure a sustainable and prosperous future for all Europeans. This comprehensive approach will not only address environmental challenges but also enhance economic resilience, create jobs, and promote social equity across Europe. Join us in endorsing the Pact and leading Europe towards a sustainable, thriving future. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/dxyY76uH #EUPact4Future

🛠️ The EU's new Ecodesign Regulation is promising: it creates the possibility to set minimum sustainability requirements for nearly all product groups, including on repairability, durability and premature #obsolescence. ✊But how ambitious and comprehensive these standards will be is still to be determined in secondary legislation. With your support, our Right to Repair Europe coalition will keep pushing for repairable and durable products! 💡Head to my blog post on repair.eu to read more on ESPR and repair: https://lnkd.in/efFNpBAS And you can also still find our full analysis of the ESPR with the European Environmental Bureau here: https://lnkd.in/ej5JaCxb #Righttorepair #Sustainability

Global resource overconsumption is out of control, and Europe is a major culprit. Yesterday's EU Environmental council finally acknowledged the lack of policies on the bloc's unsustainable resource use. But the Strategic Agenda is still set to ignore it. We need EU leaders to walk the talk and integrate #ResourceReduction into their entire agenda! 👉 https://lnkd.in/eWfFx3gf

    👏 👏 👏

We are building our own Framework laptops at work today💪 Easy to assemble, easy to take apart, and easy to repair and replace failed modules🤩 Budget friendly 🤝 planet friendly🤝fun friendly So why is this not the norm? Many companies on the market are still use anti-repair practices like part pairing and overpriced spare parts to keep selling new products. But this does not make sense. You wouldn't get rid of a bike from a punctured tire, you shouldn't have to replace your computer due to a part failure. The EU #RightToRepair law is soon here, and it is a start. With more focus on consumer and environmental protection in the next revisions, we hope to see laptops like these as the new global industrial norm 🤞
