About us
The Ronald McDonald House Charities ® of the Carolinas, located in Greenville, SC, was built in 1989 and is one of 300 Ronald McDonald Houses ® worldwide. The original Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House ® was built in 1974 and all Houses are united toward a common purpose: to keep families with sick children close to each other and the care and resources they need. Every year, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) ® at the national level aspires to improve the health and well being of 3.7 million children worldwide by assisting their families. It is important to note that each Ronald McDonald House ® is a stand-alone operation, designing programs and services that are needed within each respective community but also raising funds for their own operational and capital budgets. Our Ronald McDonald House ® in Greenville features large living and dining spaces, including a full-service double kitchen, 24 guest rooms with their own bath, laundry services, a playroom, computers and internet access, as well as an outdoor area which includes a BBQ area and children’s playground. Mission Statement: RMHC ® of the Carolinas’ mission is to keep families close, within a home filled with hope, encouragement and comfort where parents can focus on their child receiving critical care in our hospital systems. We find and support programs that directly improve the health and wellbeing of children.

Thanks to our warm-hearted Greenville team, families staying at Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Carolinas enjoyed another yummy, home-cooked meal! This time the menu included barbecued chicken, mashed potatoes, macaroni & cheese, grilled vegetables, and a sundae bar for dessert. 🏠 Ronald McDonald House Charities provides critical services for families with children facing health challenges, and we're happy to support their efforts. #hardhatswarmhearts Andre Harris | Chalmers Reeley | Mitch Pingry | Tearsa Clark | Adam Watkins | Catherine Pucci Knight AIA, CDT, LEED AP

Both active members in the Mauldin Civitan Club, Suzi Knebusch and Bernice Dessaure have been baking cookies for the families at RMHCC for over ten years! Their organization started volunteering consistently at RMHCC in 2016 when the new house was not even built yet. Suzi shared that members of their club had family utilize the House during challenging times and it is a very special place in their hearts. Bernice noted that in the past she cooked breakfast for families but now prefers cookie baking because the smell of fresh cookies brings energy and warmth to the Home. Thank you, Suzi, Bernice, and the Mauldin Civitan Club for your commitment to RMHCC! #WeLoveOurVolunteers #KeepingFamiliesClose #RMHCC

Happy #ThankfulThursday from RMHCC! Meet Hillary Gomez. Originally from the Dominican Republic, Hillary was born with a length discrepancy in her legs, with one growing significantly slower than the other. She was hospitalized for a month before coming to the House. Hillary’s favorite room at RMHC is the family room because she loves watching Taylor Swift’s 'Era's Tour' on DisneyPlus! Hillary exudes strength, bravery, and has the kindest heart. We are thankful that Hillary has made the House her home! Who are you thankful for today? #KeepingFamiliesClose

On this #ThankfulThursday, meet Jeremías Flores! One month ago, Jeremías arrived at RMHCC all the way from Ecuador. He is a patient at Shriners Children’s Hospital because he was born with an inverted foot and is undergoing surgical correction. Here at the House, Jeremías is often found outside talking about all things soccer, especially his favorite team, Real Madrid, and playing Monopoly with one of his best friends, Alejandro. Despite facing many surgeries and challenges in his life, Jeremías continues to light up any room with his smile and his American Flag cast! #ThankfulThursday #RMHCC #KeepingFamiliesClose
