Big news! We’re excited to announce the first 15 activities on the Coach #careerdevelopment platform 🎉 Why guided activities? Why not just a general chat experience? We’ve heard from our partners and beta-testers: learners don’t always know where to start when it comes to #careereducation. Guided activities ensure there’s structure to the experience. But thanks to #AI, it’s also personalized. Here are the first five (we’ll share the next five tomorrow): ✔ Learn about Coach: an #AIliteracy module that introduces Coach, including how to engage on it, what its limitations are, and more. ✔ Explore career paths: Walk through your interests with Coach, explore various educational and professional options, and get your questions answered. ✔ Prepare for a career: what skills do I need to learn? Today is #AILiteracyDay, a brand new and much-needed day of awareness and education exploring the fundamental question: "What is AI?" We’re so inspired by and grateful for the 50 educators who came together at ASU+GSV AIR Show to help us test Coach, our new AI-powered #careereducation platform. Teachers tried to ‘break’ Coach while testing a handful of the tool’s guided #careerdevelopment activities–they checked for bias and hallucination, among other things. It’s the latest in a number of testing/feedback sessions we’ve had since last July with ~700 students and educators across the US (SO grateful to our coalition partners for running these sessions: San Francisco Unified School District, Year Up, Opportunity@Work, MENTOR California, Generation, Portal Learning, Hats & Ladders, MassHire workforce boards in Berkshire, Franklin, and Hampshire, UPchieve, CAPS Network, Mouse, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America chapters in the Bay Area and Eastern Massachusetts, Empower Work, Mission Bit, and STEDY - Southwest Technical Education District of Yuma) Finally, big congrats to Jared Jacobsen from CASAS, who received a special prize in a randomized giveaway…a basketball autographed by 2024 NCAA basketball champion Dawn Staley🏀! Thanks to University of South Carolina Athletics, for helping make it happen!
