About us
Valley Clean Energy (VCE) is bringing clean energy at competitive rates to residents and businesses in Woodland, Davis, and unincorporated Yolo County in the summer of 2018. As a Community Choice Energy (CCE) Program, VCE provides an alternative to PG&E and gives our member communities a choice in how much of our electricity comes from renewable sources. Our mission is to deliver cost-competitive clean electricity, product choice, price stability, energy efficiency, and greenhouse gas emission reductions. When customers choose VCE, they help empower local control of electricity procurement decisions, reduce carbon footprint, and help support growth of local renewables. How does it Work? Valley Clean Energy pools the electricity demands of our communities and purchases power with higher renewable and lower greenhouse gas (GHG) content than is offered by PG&E. PG&E will continue to deliver electricity from the grid to your home or business, maintain the power lines, read your meter, and send you a single, consolidated bill, as required by state law. If you want to stay with PG&E for your electricity, you can opt-out of Valley Clean Energy.

Please be on the alert! Scammers have been calling Spanish-speaking customers in the Sacramento area. These criminals pretend to be PG&E agents, and tell the customer that their electricity will be cut off if they don’t give the so-called agent their bank account number or immediately transfer money into an account. VCE will never contact you — either on the phone or in person — with these kinds of demands. If you have questions about a suspicious phone call or visit, hang up and contact VCE’s customer service instead: 530-446-2750. ¡Alerta! #AlertaDeEstafas #ScamAlert

Today we celebrate Harvey Milk, the former San Francisco Supervisor and LGBTQ+ trailblazer who dedicated his life to equality and justice. Harvey’s most famous quote inspires us to this day: “I know you can't live on hope alone. But without hope, life is not worth living. So you, and you and you: You got to give them hope!” #HarveyMilk #HarveyMilkDay #YoloCounty #EqualityForAll

Did you know that Yolo County has a rich Jewish history? In the late 1800s, Jewish immigrants played a significant role in establishing farming communities in Yolo County, contributing to the county's reputation as a hub for agriculture. As we celebrate Jewish American Heritage Month, VCE honors the contributions and resilience of the Jewish community in Yolo County and beyond.
