Seattle radiates the spirit of Pride year-round, championing inclusivity and creating a welcoming environment for all. On May 30, over 50 LGBTQIA+ couples set sail on the Love For All Boat, joining together for an epic vow renewal ceremony followed by a night of food, drinks, and dancing aboard an Argosy Cruises ship. The event kicked off Pride Month festivities, honoring 50 years of Pride in Seattle. Thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate the heartwarming love stories of every couple aboard. Pickleball provides an energizing start to your day and a unique, inclusive way to network in smaller groups. We're thrilled to share this positive experience Leanne Calderwood, CMP had at Meeting Professionals International World Education Congress!

This was better than I could have imagined kicking off Meeting Professionals International World Education Congress 🌟 Thanks to Visit Seattle, instead of the usual loud and crowded networking reception to kick off the week, we had a refreshing and energizing pickleball activation 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐦𝐞. 🏓✨ As someone who thrives in smaller, quieter settings, this early morning activity was a game-changer. Networking in groups of 2-4 allowed for meaningful conversations without the overwhelm of large crowds. It’s a fantastic alternative to the late-night Rendezvous party (which, let's be honest, can be tough for us early birds). What’s even better? This wasn’t just about pickleball. It could have been any small group activity like bocce ball, lawn bowling, Settlers of Catan, or even Cards Against Humanity. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐤𝐞𝐲 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲. Plus, it was a great opportunity to support the MPI Foundation with a donation, without the need to navigate a bustling reception. 🎉 Cheers to Visit Seattle, Meeting Professionals International and the MPI Foundation for thinking outside the box and creating such a fantastic, inclusive event. Score one for you today! 🙌 More updates to come from WEC. Wishing you a fantastic day! Pickleball, born in Seattle, is the fastest growing sport in the U.S. It also makes for an engaging experience in the midst of a business-minded event. That's why we decided to bring the court to events like PCMA Convening Leaders and Meeting Professionals International WEC. After all, as pickleball spreads, so does Seattle’s story!
