Active listening is important to listen to what the other person is saying to craft a response instead of a quick answer. Also, this shows the other person that you are focused on them and the conversation. Quick responses without thinking will isolate your audience and won't show the respect they are due. Mutual respect is important in having a two-sided conversation. Neither party should manipulate the discussion, but both should be ready to respond and more importantly listen in an active manner. Focused on the other person's points so that they can reflect when needed to show they are listening. This will assist in networking and building professional relationships for good working environments.

What are the most important things to avoid in a Network Engineering interview?
Be in the moment with your interview process. Make sure you took the time to understand the company you are applying to. Be focused and attentive during the process and make it clear you have an interest in working there. It’s just good form to be attentive and focused at the time of the interview. Have some prepared questions to ask the people interviewing you. Sometimes during the interview or after you may change your mind about the position or the company, but don’t show that. Work with the situation until the interview is over. Be cognizant of their time and your time and know your subject matter.
